Lunch & Learn with City of Hope “Understanding Diabetes and the Research Impact”

We are proud to partner again with City of Hope to learn more about their research and results. We will hear from Dr. Patrick Fueger, Ph.D. about the breakthrough research on diabetes.

Dr. Patrick Fueger is an Associate Professor in the Department of Molecular & Cellular Endocrinology in the Arthur Riggs Diabetes & Metabolism Research Institute at City of Hope and Associate Director of the Cancer Metabolism Training Program at City of Hope. The Patrick Fueger Lab Dr. Fueger and his team are hunting for therapeutic targets to prevent or reverse a series of metabolic diseases, including both type 1 and type 2 diabetes, and fatty liver disease, which can lead to a deadly form of liver cancer. For Dr. Fueger, his work in the laboratory is personal, having lived with type 1 diabetes for over 40 years.
