The family has experienced several traumatic events including recently losing their home. Currently they are living in a hotel in Greensboro while waiting for housing. Mom explained that after a tragic accident in Virginia involving her husband the family relocated to High Point for a fresh start. Unfortunately, things have not gone so well. Mom has high blood pressure, a heart condition, anxiety and suffers from depression. She has been working 2 jobs until recently where she only now works one. The family enjoys weekend game nights where they collectively play board games and video games on their Xbox 1. Mom enjoys cooking and baking.
Mom stated after her interview that she has been trying NOT to give up hope. She recently told a friend shortly before being contacted by Angels in Blue that she felt GOD has something huge in store for her and things were going to be turning around.
You can link above to the sign up doc with a listing of Christmas gifts for the family. Since they are currently homeless, we will be collecting mostly gift cards.
