The International Sleep Products Association (ISPA), founded in 1915, is the trade association for the global mattress industry with a vision to Help the World Sleep Better. ISPA supports manufacturers, suppliers, and service providers by shaping legislation and regulation to support industry success, transforming research and data into critical business intelligence, connecting the industry through events, networking, and membership, and elevating awareness of ISPA, the Mattress Recycling Council (MRC), and the broader sleep industry. ISPA created the Mattress Recycling Council (MRC) to manage state-approved recycling programs. Operating as Bye Bye Mattress in California, Connecticut, Oregon, and Rhode Island, MRC makes mattress recycling convenient and cost-effective through a fee collected at purchase. Working with retailers, manufacturers, local governments, and recyclers, MRC has built efficient recycling networks, educates the industry on compliance, and is committed to making mattress recycling standard and sustainable.

Paris Gholston
Paris Gholston is a woman dedicated to giving back as an homage to those who have helped her in the home and furnishings industry. As Customer Relations and Compliance Coordinator at Mattress Recycling Council, she’s spent 9 years in the industry working her way up and building relationships with folks all over the U.S. She joined WithIt 9 years ago when she first entered the industry and has since become heavily involved in the scholarship side of the nonprofit, serving as the Vice President of Scholarship for several years now.
